Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our progressive health care team and play a pivotal role in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. This position is crucial in managing medications and ensuring optimal pharmacological practices across our network. The Pharmacist will supervise the preparation and dispensing of medications, consult with healthcare professionals, and ensure the adherence to regulatory compliance and patient care standards. This role requires an individual who combines clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to patient care, helping our patients regain independence after serious illness or injuries. Verify prescription orders and create appropriate medication therapy plans. Ensure the safe and secure storage and handling of medications. Consult with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans. Supervise pharmacy staff and maintain records per regulatory standards. Provide medication counseling and education to patients and staff. Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to treatment decision-making. Stay updated with advancements in pharmacology and health care regulations. Strong knowledge of drug administration and health care regulations. Ability to understand and navigate pharmaceutical software and record-keeping. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
