active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A Physical Therapist is
needed for a full-time contract position serving K-12 schools in
the Lake County area of Florida. This role provides school-based
physical therapy services across multiple campuses, supporting
students in elementary, middle, and high schools with diverse
mobility and functional needs. The contracted assignment extends
through May 29, 2026, with an immediate start date available.
Location: Multiple schools throughout Lake County, Florida
(includes but not limited to Tavares Elementary, Eustis High
School, Mount Dora High School, and Leesburg High School). Travel
between 16 assigned schools will be required. Position Details and
Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy services to students
across approximately 100 caseloads within the district. Assess,
plan, and implement individualized therapy sessions aimed at
improving motor function and promoting independence. Collaborate
with educators, special education teams, and families to support
students therapeutic goals. Manage documentation, progress notes,
and required paperwork in compliance with district protocols.
Participate in district onboarding and credentialing processes
necessary for school access and compliance. Work an 8-hour workday,
37.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid break. Qualifications:
Current professional license as a Physical Therapist. Prior
experience providing therapy services in a school setting is
strongly preferred. Ability to manage a caseload of school-aged
children with diverse physical therapy needs. Strong communication
and collaboration skills to work effectively within a
