carrier is seeking a skilled Production Commercial Underwriter to
support new and renewal business for agents, while increasing the
company’s presence in the territory, and help drive in profitable
business. This production-oriented underwriter should be able to
build relationships with their agents and identify target accounts.
Key Responsibilities Underwrite new and renewal commercial
business; visit agents and develop relationships Analyze
submissions, approve or deny coverage based on risk, while
identifying new business opportunities Conduct regular agency
meetings; educate agents on product offerings virtually and in
person Make underwriting recommendations on coverages, limits,
pricing, and terms Rate and process new business, renewals,
endorsements, and inspections Professionally represent the company
at agency meetings and industry events Qualifications 5 years of
experience in commercial underwriting insurance Background working
with a P&C insurance carrier Strong commercial underwriting
knowledge and relationship-building skills High-energy, personable
approach to client interactions Self-motivated with passion for the
insurance business Technical proficiency in Commercial product
lines Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Willingness to travel (25-30% travel required) Benefits Excellent
